USA : PVH to market Sportswear brands directly in Canada

February 8, 2008

Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation announced that the Company would begin to market directly in Canada its Calvin Klein, IZOD and Van Heusen men's sportswear beginning with the Spring 2009 collections. In connection with this direct effort, PVH mutually agreed with Caulfeild Apparel Group Ltd, the current Canadian distributor of Calvin Klein and IZOD brand men's sportswear, and JFC Licensing Inc, the current Canadian distributor of Van Heusen brand sportswear, not to renew their existing arrangements.

Caulfeild and JFC will continue to market the sportswear in Canada through 2008 and JFC is in negotiations to continue to offer beyond 2008 Van Heusen brand products in other licensed categories, including suits, blazers, overcoats, hosiery and small leather goods.

PVH's Canadian sportswear business will be headquartered in Toronto, in the same offices from which the Company's Dress Shirt Group operates its Canadian business. PVH began directly marketing its dress shirt offerings in Canada in 2006.

"We have been distributing our goods in Canada through licensees and distributors since the early 1970s and are committed to satisfying the needs of Canadian retailers and consumers," stated Allen Sirkin, President and Chief Operating Officer of PVH.

"We believe that the Company and the Canadian market are best served by our direct operation in Canada and that we can replicate in the sportswear arena the success we have had distributing our dress shirt brands, including Calvin Klein, Van Heusen, ARROW and IZOD."
