Global Fashion: From Sexy Lingerie To Warming Furs & Leather

The international economic and financial crisis now has the global textile and clothing market firmly in its clutches. In China last month whole series of textile and clothing firm had to fold. The largest Chinese consumer goods fair in Canton posted a drop in export orders of a good 30%.

The textile and clothing business in numerous high-consuming European countries has been paralysed since last summer if not before, prompting those supplying the clothing industry and large retail forms to revise their sourcing cycles, volume and regions even more stringently. A partial re-orientation is on the cards in many sourcing companies and new suppliers from other countries are being tested. Alongside new regions in Asia, Eastern Europe and especially North Africa are now moving more strongly into focus due to their greater market proximity, great flexibility and lower batch sizes per style.

Global Fashion remains Europe’s leading fair for sourcing, private label and contract manufacturing when it comes to seeking new sourcing areas in the fashion business. Held once again in parallel to CPD and HMD from 1 to 3 February 2009 this special fair will this time be hosted in Hall 5. Once again it offers international sourcing management from both trade and industry a comprehensive kaleidoscope of companies from throughout the world. With 320 exhibitors from 20 countries Global Fashion presents a comprehensive range of companies and countries. This time exhibitors come from Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Canada, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macao, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, the People’s Republic of China including Hong Kong, Portugal, Serbia, Taiwan and the Ukraine.

Companies from Serbia and Morocco attending for the First Time
Amongst those celebrating their premiere this time at Global Fashion are companies from Serbia and Morocco. They enhance the new ‘Global Exclusive’ segment launched at the July 2008 event. The Serbian Chamber of Commerce will be presenting six companies as part of a joint stand. These firms produce women’s and men’s clothing and wish to score points with buyers from trade and industry with short and flexible delivery times, competitive prices, good value for money, good quality thanks to state-of-the-art technology and staff with great know-how.

With four companies the Moroccan clothing association A.M.I.T.H. will also be exhibiting in the fashion metropolis on the Rhine for the first time now. The ranges of these firms demonstrate the wide choice of manufacturing segments the Moroccan clothing industry has to offer. For instance, Cabilux covers almost the entire clothing range – from nightwear and homewear through to women’s wear, children’s wear and men’s sportswear. 'Its Time To Change Our Wardrobe' Apparel Trends Forecast - 2009/10

Hardly a month has lapsed, since the dawn of 2009. As per the adage, "Ever-changing is the unchangeable law", apparel segment is not an exemption. Whether or not, we are conscious about the fact, our everyday decision of what to wear depends to a considerable extent on the current apparel trends. Generally two basic facts fuel the change in apparel trends; novelty and conformity. Everyone likes to wear something new, and simultaneously, many of us like to keep pace with our traditional attires as well. While there is no crystal ball to have an appropriate forecast, runways, and ramp shows can be helpful in predicting the trends.

This year will see vibrant and dynamic shades and apparel patterns which does not have a trace of the previous year. On the contrary, a few other trends emerge, which will pull out old clothes from the back of the closet. Colors themes revolve around jewel tones and tinted neutrals. Natural fabrics like organic cotton in hues of vanilla to a hint of deep blue will be seen. Simultaneously, rich and vivid colors ranging from red, gold, to black with an Eastern influence will also be in fad. Womenswear is filled with darkened decorum and floral patterns. Menswear is getting a feminine makeover in delicate fabrics. Shawl collars, and asymmetrical hems will put a twist on every piece of clothing.

Apparel colors are more of neutrals. Hues of mineral and stone provide a solid and natural base with solar orange and hot pink. Pink or magenta will be the color of the year. Followed by this will be the combination of black and white. Bordeaux, aubergine, and deep purples will also be seen of fashionable attires. Fuchsia red will be a great shade for cool skin tones. Skits, shirts and day dresses will be seen in bold colors to soft hues. Tunics and dresses will be seen in gorgeous designs and bold colors. Basics like skirts and pants will be in soft neutrals paired with new spring colors.

The old 'mix-and-match' look will make a re-entry. The secret of dressing well and also in a reasonable small budget depends on the choice of wardrobe with coordinated colors, and shapes that are interchangeable. Ensembles such as skirt, and pant sets allows mixing and matching, making a perfect capsule of clothing for oneself. A basic bottom with new tops or shirts will give a completely different look each day. This will give an unpretentious and remarkable appearance.

Apparels with floral prints will be in full bloom, this year, especially this spring and fall. Floral outfits are the best to welcome the season of spring. Frocks with crisp lines and bold shoulders will bring back the 'dynasty days'. For women who are fond of ethereal styles, goddess frocks with floral prints will be seen in store racks. An imbalance in neck to the hemline will be seen.

Watches From HAUTLENCE With Masculine & Rugged Looks

HAUTLENCE, one of the most coveted Swiss luxury watch brands, highlights its amazing evolution with the introduction of the HLS Collection. The new HLS01, HLS02 and HLS03 models are more masculine and rugged than the previous models but show originality in every detail. These models are interpretations of a strong and unique concept that takes watch making technology a step further.

The latest HLS timepieces have rubber straps and brushed steel which gives them a more contemporary look. The uniqueness in telling time using these instruments lies in the double device of a jumping hour coupled with a retrograde minute display which creates a three-dimensional timekeeping experience all within a distinctive case.

The small seconds hand is in a little dial at 5 o’clock while the intriguing rods, evocative of yesterday’s trains, drive the jumping hour. When the minute hand reaches 60 minutes, a device activated by a central spiral causes the end of the rod to arm a small spring with an inertia block that, in turn, drives the rotation of the hour disc. The HLS01, HLS02 and HLS03 models are produced in the limited edition of only 88 pieces and come in titanium, white gold and pink gold with alligator straps and rubber bands. The watches are water resistant to 50 metres and have sapphire crystals.

In tune with the HAUTLENCE philosophy, these timepieces are built around the caliber and follow the best Swiss watchmaking tradition keeping the overall design in the minimalist style. The exterior components then receive their punches and finishes, which make each case a totally unique product. Soft and aggressive, elegant and original, futuristic and provocative in its design, , the HLS01, HLS02 and HLS03 are syntheses of art and advanced technology, travelling along the boundary where beauty and strength merge.

Camisole Sets - Sexy Lingerie At Its Best ! ! !

A new trend in wearing camisole tops as outerwear is partly responsible for camisole sets enjoying a surge of recent popularity. Camisole sets, like many sexy lingerie items, have a rich and varied history. Provided here is a brief look at the history of camisole sets.

Chemises Besides loincloths, chemises are perhaps the oldest known form of underwear for both men and women. Historically, chemises were long, simple pieces that were worn underneath the clothes of both men and women, beginning in the medieval era. Although chemises never really disappeared until the early 20th century, changing fashions required variants on the chemise to be created. Perhaps the biggest changes in the history of lingerie occurred with the rise of the corset.

Of Corsets and Camisoles Corsetry began in the Renaissance period, when straight, boyish figures went out of fashion and décolletage became the new ideal. Corsets of this era were fairly rudimentary and fit easily underneath the chemises of the time. As corsetry became more elaborate and dress styles changed, however, it was necessary to find a garment that would hide the corset without adding unwanted bulk. The solution was the camisole. Camisole sets, however, were far in the future.

By the Victorian era, a tiny waist and large bosom were considered the height of fashion. This effect was achieved through the tight lacing of heavy corsets. However, traditional chemises were quite long, effectively hiding the corset but adding the illusion of weight. The new camisoles, by contrast, were short and light. They easily hid corsets but were not bulky. Camisoles quickly joined chemises as must-have fashion items. As modern panties had not yet been invented, however, camisole sets were not yet available.

Teddies Thanks to the increasing athleticism of young women at the turn of the 20th century, bloomers became extremely popular. Meanwhile, corsets were no longer in fashion due to mounting concerns over possible health risks. In this climate, the teddy was born. Teddies could be considered the earliest example of camisole sets. At that time, teddies were one-piece garments featuring a camisole attached to a pair of baggy shorts.

The 1920s The flapper era of the 1920s was a time for increased liberation for many women. This era marks the beginning of the sexy lingerie age. As teddies became shorter, tighter and sexier, some designers experimented with separating the two pieces. This was the beginning of modern camisole sets.

Contemporary Fashion From The Land Of Pharaohs

Egypt is a country of kingship and divinity. Ancient Egyptians loved fashionable clothes and other accessories. Clothing style was simple and elegant. They took a lot of care in grooming their appearance, and their garments were designed, crafted, and worn with great thought and care. Their clothing style gave them a unique cultural look in history. Egyptians designed their clothes to be light weight so as to suit the hot climate of the country. Most of their clothes were made from plant fibres. They wore clothes made of linen throughout the hot weather.

In today's world, fads come and go for every season. But in the 3000 year old Egyptian history, fashion changed very little. During the Old Kingdom, people wore simple garments that did not require much sewing. Men and women mostly wore draped clothes, held in place by knots in the fabric, and waist belts. Their clothes were mostly white. Creme-da-le-crme people of the society wore long, pleated, and see-through robes. During the New Kingdom, fashion became more modernized, with elaborate pleats and fringes sewn in tunics and other garments. Their clothes became more decorated and complex. Clothes with intricate embroidery made its debut. During this period, the Egyptians were influenced by the fashion brought by Assyrians, Greeks and Persians.

Men from the 'pyramid land' were more fashion conscious than the women of their times. From the drawings, and fabric pieces found in tombs and other places, it is been found that men wore more than forty different types of garments. Men's fashion of the Old Kingdom consisted of a knee-length kilt. They were rectangular in shape, and knotted or fastened with a buckle at the waist. Kilts served various purposes, like indicating the age, and social position of the wearer. Over the kilts, men wore long pleated skirts with a pleated apron, decorated with a fringed sash. Robes were used in various designs, long and flowing. The New Kingdom fashion changed the look of Egyptian men. Application of dyes on clothes brought more colorful linen garments. Their kilt was elaborately fringed and pleated. Sashes and aprons were added to their attire to give them a complete 'fashionable' look.

Beautiful Lingerie Becomes Must-Have Part Of Woman's Wardrobe

American women are finally taking a cue from their French sisters and asserting the right to be sexy at any age. Beautiful lingerie has become a must-have part of every woman's wardrobe. Susan Nethero, Oprah's lingerie expert, named five must-have items of lingerie on the show this week: a date bra, a plunge/cleavage bra, a strapless bra, an elegant camisole and a matching panty. Nethero picked the Marie Jo Avero Plunge Convertible Bra, as the perfect date bra.

Are dates only for the young and single? Not at all. Married women plan dates with their husbands and love to wear sexy lingerie. Wearing a matching bra and panty set changes a woman's inner attitude, said Oprah on the show. The right lingerie can give her a sense of self-confidence. And it's not just for the young. In Europe women are considered more sexually appealing as they age, because they gain in knowledge and experience.

"The Avero Collection chosen by Oprah combines soft fabric with a beautiful embroidered lace and daisy motif," says Tomima Edmark, CEO of, the exclusive online retailer for the Avero collection. "The convertible bra with contour cups is perfect for the fall fashion trends as it's suitable for wearing under knits. It's a great date bra because it can be worn with straps in the traditional manner, in a halter, or criss-cross styling."

Hottest & Sexiest EMPREINTE To Showcase Melody At Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear

EMPREINTE, France-based specialist in bras in larger sizes, will be exhibiting its Melody line at the Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear exhibition, which will be held in Harrogate (England) from 22 to 24 February 2009. All of EMPREINTE’s models combine seductive design with incomparable support. Its latest design is the Melody line, which is made of moulded sheer lace (up to 36G). Britain, Ireland and Nordic countries are among the brand’s major markets for exports.

EMPREINTE specialises in designing lingerie for women with larger bust sizes. Its bras are specially designed to offer stylish support – the cup material (whether tulle, lace or microfibre) always holds its shape, without the use of spandex. The back-strap material will not deform after stretching but will always retain its initial shape: it stretches 100%, as compared to 140% for standard materials.

Thanks to a specially designed pattern, the straps attach to the bra back in such a way that the middle of the back, the strap’s pull and the side of the bra are perfectly balanced. Strap elasticity is reduced to 30% (as opposed to 50% for a standard strap). The underwiring is closed, producing a slimming effect from the front, with thicker components to keep the bra perfectly in place. Each band/cup size corresponds to a specific strap width and hook height.

This ready-to-wear lingerie is designed to provide wearers with the impression that it is custom-fitted – each model is available in 40 band and cup sizes. EMPREINTE is the only underwear brand to offer such an extensive range of sizes (up to 46G).

At the Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear exhibition, EMPREINTE will be presenting its latest Melody range, which is available in black, ivory and caramel up to size 36G. This design – a fashionable blend of opaque and transparent fabric – offers the refinement of sheer lace alongside high-tech performance. A delicate chain of lace flowers alternates with satiny mesh. Moulded to form a seamless cup, the material ensures optimal support, while a satin-covered foam strap provides the ultimate in comfort. A hint of satin trim creates a stunning neckline leading down to the bra’s centre, which is made of muslin and satin.

Levi's Lady Style cuts bring out sexy femininity

Levi’s Lady Style cuts two arresting new looks this spring/summer to reveal the irresistible silhouette of a lady and her alluring sensuality. The collection will highlight slender silhouettes, especially with the season’s mix of hot wide-leg and skinny jeans, and variety of tops, bottoms, and glam accessories.

Justify Full
This season, the secret in flaunting legs lies in pairing off skinny jeans with voluminous tops. At the same time, riding on the emerging trend of the wide-leg bottom, the new wide-leg jean will accentuate slim silhouettes and bring out sexy femininity. With these two arresting looks that play on proportions and shapes, ladies in Levi’s Lady Style will be able to strut anywhere with style, sophistication and confidence.

Wide-leg jean - The wide-leg jean rides high on your waistline, giving the illusion of a smaller waistline with a flat, sleek front through the v-shaped front yoke. At the same time, the widening of the jean, from the hips and thighs all the way to the bottom of the jean, emphasizes long legs.

Low rise skinny tapered jean

Ladies can also go for an ultra-slim cut with the low rise skinny tapered jean for yet another look that showcases irresistible style and sexiness. Voluminous tops are a perfect layering match, drawing attention to the slenderness of the legs.

The Levi’s Lady Style range of skinny jeans are made with fabric of a bi-stretch material that allows freedom of movement and comfort. This material will reveal the alluring contours of a woman, providing an impeccable fit for the bottom.

In addition to the skinny and wide-leg jeans, the Levi’s Lady Style collection promises new, exciting looks with its varied offering of jeans in mid- and low-rise; in straight, tapered, stacked, bootcut and flared silhouettes; and shorts in high-waist, mid- and low-rise.

Besides the usual mid- and dark toned finishes for that touch of style and class, bottoms have also been introduced in bleached, washed and acid finishes, inspired by looks prominent in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Embrace the summer spirit with the hot, fun summer colors – raspberry pink, ginger white, sunfaded pink and yellow – that have been injected into the color palette. All in all, there will be a color suitable for any mood and occasion that will portray sexy glamour and charm.

Embroidery details, Swarovski pearl and crystal embellishments, rhinestone rivets, glitter buttons and sundries in gold, soft matte silver and elegant black are style details that jazz up the jeans’ irresistible feminine appeal.

Razzle-dazzle with Accessories - This season, razzle-dazzle with crystallized fashion jewelry and accessories from the Levi’s Lady Style collection. Bring on the glitz and glamour with a pair of black earrings and silver necklace made up of eye-catching crystals, or go for a crystal-studded Levi’s Lady Style watch in white or black leather, or stainless steel strap.

The Levi’s Lady Style Spring/Summer 2008 collection of bottoms, including the high waist wide-leg jean and low waist skinny tapered jean, matching tops and accessories are now available in Levi’s stores across Asia.
