Last night, Jordan Brand, a division of NIKE Inc, redefined class and luxury with the House of XX3, an exclusive invitation-only red carpet event in honor of the AIR JORDAN XX3 launch.
Marking the historic reveal of a shoe made famous by Michael Jordan himself, the party brought together world class athletes, celebrities and industry VIPs during festive All-Star Weekend in New Orleans.
Michael Jordan played host at the House of XX3 to Team Jordan athletes and 2008 All-Stars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Rip Hamilton, Ray Allen and Joe Johnson.
In addition to the bevy of sports stars that included Dre Bly, Kevin Durant and basketball legend Magic Johnson, the event attracted an array of today’s biggest stars such as Gabrielle Union, Spike Lee, and Chris Tucker transforming the House of XX3 into the most coveted party during basketball’s annual celebrated weekend.
Reminiscent of a sophisticated jazz club, the House of XX3 brought out the best elements in New Orleans complete with authentic Native Indian dances performed to a traditional New Orleans brass band outside while inside dancers swayed to the musical stylings of DJ Beverly Bond.
Worthy of being called the “Greatest Basketball Shoe Ever,” the AIR JORDAN XX3 launched nationally at midnight on February 16, allowing sneaker enthusiasts to experience the excitement surrounding the shoe.
The AIR JORDAN XX3 is the first basketball shoe for NIKE to embrace the NIKE Considered design ethos, where details in the development and design of the shoe seek to reduce waste and allow for the use of environmentally preferred materials.
